To Shasta . . .
After Patrick and I were married, one of the first things we did was get a puppy. Shasta was adorable! Less than two months later when Patrick moved to Peteluma she was great company and continued to be so for more than ten years. She put up patiently with everything we threw at her, including all the tugging and chasing both boys submitted her to. Just a few weeks ago a passer by asked how old she was and was surprised to have the answer in years not months. Even on a bad day, Shasta still had that puppy like energy (as the cat and chickens can attest to).
So it is with great sadness that we say good bye. Shasta, you have been a loved member of our family and will be sorely missed.
